African Splendours has been created to guide individuals, couples and small private groups in style, across Africa. We do not run any scheduled tours; priding ourselves on delivering the value of a group tour with the intimacy and individuality of personalised programmes. All our tours are built around our clients particular destinations and activities. We work with only the finest accredited and recognised organisations, approved hotels and guesthouses (all personally inspected). All flights are on national, well-established airlines and our car hire is booked through one of Africa's leading organisations. All our personnel are travel-wise, experienced professional guides. One of the unique services we offer is designed specifically for the individual traveller. Particularly for ladies with a spirit of adventure but who do not wish to travel alone. Behind the African Splendours concept is Dinah White - an established English journalist and broadcaster, who moved to South Africa in 1992, catching the end of 'apartheid' and the creation of the 'Rainbow Nation'. She trained in England as a National Blue Badge Guide with tourism becoming a secondary career to journalism. Dinah is a knowledgeable and highly experienced tour director and guide. During the last 10 years Dinah has taken groups, individuals and well known personalities across the African continent. As a tour director for several of Africa's leading tour operators she has accompanied both individuals as well as groups on trips ranging from 2-4 weeks in duration within Africa, several with specialist interests. During the last three years she has masterminded, organised and conducted exclusive tours for a variety of clients primarily from the United Kingdom and America in tours as diverse as a journey from the Cape to Cairo or touring through the magnificent wild spring flowers of Namaqualand. As the profile of South African tourism has changed - more people preferring to drive themselves, whilst exploring off the beaten track destinations, so Dinah has created our exclusive 'PLAN-IT' service.
