Having recently returned from a cruise and a short stay in Cape Town I should like to express my appreciation and that of my wife for the really superb excursions arranged by Mrs Dinah White. It was a joy to hear someone who enthused about what we were being shown and who was able to convey the detail of what lay behind what we were seeing with such clarity.

Her explanations made the excursions among the very best we have ever had in more than fort-five years of travelling in various parts of the world. Mrs White’s charming personality and her attention to our questions and the way in which she was able to respond was greatly appreciated.

Dear Dinah, how can we thank you enough for your part in making our trip through Africa so enjoyable. The trip proved to be outstanding, exceeding all our expectations. Thank you for your caring and diligent attention to all our needs and also your professional guiding and help with our itinerary. Keep that beautiful smile and may God continue to bless you and your family along life’s journey. Keep in touch and stay well.

Thank you so much for looking after us – and all our fellow travellers – so very well. Your attention to detail, care and concern for our well being was outstanding. We appreciated, above all, your great resilience on a very demanding tour of such variety. The tour itself was quite the best we have had, and we owe you a considerable debt for making it so. Your good humour and great charisma made every day and evening a delight. I do hope that you will be able to call in when you are next in England.

Paul and I still get starry-eyed when we think of our trip – and we are so grateful to you for making it so special. All your hard work, and extra touches, made a memorable trip into a fantasy – and we feel like we made a friend, which is the very best part of all. If you are ever in the States, we’d love to see you. We can see how another tour manager might not have made our trip so memorable – but we have no idea how anyone could have made it better….

Thank you so very much for such a wonderful holiday, for all your help and understanding and for looking after me so very well.
South Africa is such a beautiful country with lovely people, that I only hope that the political situation will be trouble free for the next few years.I was particularly pleased to be able to spend that extra night at Bushman’s Kloof; it made such a difference to me being able to rest for another day. Thank you also for changing my Cape Town stay to take this into account.

An ode to our tour director – DINAH WHITE
If the luggage you have brought is not right,
Or a bustard has challenged you to fight,
Or your visa is plumb out of sight,
You’d better trust to your guide – Dinah White
If Pinotage is the wine you would like,
Or giraffes are the things you would sight,
Or a knick-knack baboon’s your delight,
Better call for your guide, Dinah White
If a million dollar hit is your plight,
Or you itch from a mosquito bite,
Or your bath overflows in the night,
Dial 9, 1, 1 for Dinah White.

This wonderful trip has been made even more so by you. Your skilful planning of this trip, your breadth of knowledge, your attention and caring for the needs of your travellers, and your delightful personality are all 5 Star – 5 BIG STARS, and have all added to make this one of my most memorable trips.
Thank you, with much affection.

Darling Dinah – you made our trip wonderful. It was like travelling with a long-time friend; but one who knew the way and smoothed all the paths. Maybe when you visit the States we’ll be able to show you our more modest sights.
Thank you again.

Dear Ms Dinah White – we thank you very much for your kind and excellent guide. We could sincerely enjoy our trip and learned many things of your country from you. I am sorry that I put troublesome on you by my poor English.
Thank you again.

We won the war of 1776, but we didn’t win the war of words. You have captured our fancy with your sayings and neat little aphorisms. These are some of the many we remember. (to the boat-man not fast enough) Put foot (not quite with it ) having a little dolly daydream (these problems after a time)can tend to stack up a bit (a difficult situation) It made me quite frilly. (early morning temperature cold to hot) takes your lead from an onion and peel off clothes. (currency value) a dollar and a squirt. Thanks for making our trip such fun and so comfortable.

Having travelled previously with many organisations I have been in a position to evaluate a few senior tour managers. That said I believe Mrs White ranks right up there with the top people. She has all the attributes of an excellent manager. And because of her familiarity with the country and her skills in presentation, I left with a rather keen insight of the place.

Thank you for all your help, and for your caring attention for Andre; what a wonderful guide you are.

Thank you so much for making this holiday such a special one and for looking after us so splendidly. We have had a truly memorable trip and have enjoyed every single moment to the full.
It would be lovely to think that we might meet again one day.
With our sincere thanks.

It took 13 airline flights, but we have completed our journey. What a grand time we had, fascinating people, places and animals – thank you. Zimbabwe was quite a change, in hindsight, I wish I had purchased more there, as some items never reappeared. Kenya takes the prize for the great outdoors. Although not as spectacular as Cape Town or Victoria Falls, its worth going if you want to see wild animals. The food and wine were best in South Africa!
We were delighted with our whole trip and extending to Egypt was so tempting at the end, perhaps another time.
