Cape Extravaganza - 8 days in and around the Cape.

A Taste of Africa - An 8 day tour of Southern Africa.
Starting in the Cape, then driving through the Garden route with its ostriches and impressive Cango Caves before flying up to Zimbabwe or Zambia to view the wonder of Victoria Falls. Finally driving into Botswana for a brief visit and superb game viewing.

Cape Splendours - 2 weeks. A South African family adventure.
With time for horse riding and malaria free game viewing.
Flying into Port Elizabeth and journeying through the Eastern Cape before beginning the Garden Route, ending the tour in Cape Town.

An African Odyssey -2 weeks
Spectacular scenery, cultural villages and game viewing. Starting in the north in Johannesburg and driving across in an easterly direction into Mpumulanga (where the sun rises) visiting some spectacular scenic wonders before arriving at a beautiful game lodge. Wine and Waves
With 14 wine-producing regions to choose from, South Africa has much to offer the wine expert or enthusiast. The various regions encompass some of South Africa's finest scenery. Visit the glorious Cape with its stunning Cape Dutch vineyards in idyllic settings, before breathing in the exhilarating sea air surrounding the historic Cape of Good Hope. Travel the country while sampling its award-winning wines. Tours can be of variable length and can be accompanied by experts or self-driven.


Namibian Odyssey
- 2 weeks are ideal.
Flying into Windhoek and either take the 'Desert Express, a small luxury train which crosses the desert with its towering dunes to Swartkopmund on the coast. Alternatively, you can travel down to Sossussvlei with its impressive sand dunes. Depending upon whether you prefer an escorted tour or to drive yourselves, the roads are very African - quite good, although the majority are dry gravel and rather narrow. However, there is one main road (narrow/tarred) that runs the length of the country.
Stay in wonderful privately owned lodges and make your way up to the impressive Etosha Pan in the centre of the National Park; home to enormous herds of wild animals. From Etosha you can either drive/train or fly back south depending upon your tour.

On the Wild Side– 7 to 21 days.
Africa has the best game viewing in the world.
Botswana - where large herds roam in protected reserves - paddle down the incredible Okavango Delta in a traditional Makoro.
Kenya - where the vast herds still migrate across the mighty Masai Mara
Namibia - with the Etosha Pan, an animal's paradise. Staying in private lodges or in the well equipped National Park Resorts.
South Africa - year round quality viewing of the 'BIG 5' - tracking them offroad in open vehicles. Or drive yourself through the Kruger National Park over-nighting in the parks board comfortable lodges.
Tanzania - for the awesome Mount Kilimanjaro.


 

Mauritian Interlude - Six days.
Soaking up the sun on unspoilt beaches. Go sailing and scuba-diving. Take a boat across an emerald lagoon to the Mauritian Wildlife Foundation's best-kept secret the Ile aux Aigrettes nature reserve. Visit the remarkable 'Colours of the Earth' display in the new centre. See how tea is grown; visit a fascinating tea plantation ending with a tea tasting in a period home

A South African Adventure - 2 weeks.
Explore South Africa’s garden of Eden . Take a leisurely tour in and around Cape Town before spending time along the scenic Garden route with enough time for a little game viewing in the luxurious Shamwari Game Reserve or in the Addo Elephant Park.

Special interests: combined tours featuring any of the interests below can be arranged accompanied by the appropriate experts.

Bird watching in a continent that is a paradise for 'twitchers'. Hundreds of birds of every size and hue, including the multi-coloured Lilac Breasted Roller which looks as though it fell it into a painter's palette.

Battlefield enthusiasts - many of the battles in the Anglo Boer War (1899-1902) have been incorporated into nearby museums illustrated by photographs taken at the time. For those interested in Zulu battles, the historic and dramatic battlefields of Islandwana (where the British were soundly beaten) to the adjacent Rorke's Drift are well worth a visit.

Floral Wonderland - the West Coast in springtime. The flower season is very short and timing depends on winter rainfall which this year has been negligible. Normal season is from late August through to the end of September possibly into early October.

Golfing getaways - South Africa has some of the finest golf courses in the world. Visit Sun City where many Golfing Championships are held, travel along the Garden Route calling in at the luxurious Fancourt Hotel with its' superb golfing complex or just base yourself in the Cape where there are numerous first class courses to chose from.

Horse riding Safaris - through the Kingdom of Swaziland's big game parks. These can be accommodated within other tours like the kzn highlights. There are daily trails or over-night adventures in camps like the rustic Lusoti Trail camp on the banks of the Usushwana River. Visit Cape wine estates on horse back.
Shorter rides can often be arranged locally around the country.

Whale watching - view these gentle giants from various excellent vantage points along the Garden Route. Watch them frolicking close in-shore where they come to calve. Plan a visit to Hermanus the Whale capital of the Cape with it's own whale festival on September 26 to October 05 .
